Hope is never lost!

Hello Everyone!

Happy Monday! I hope you had a good week! This week was a good one in Woods Creek! It was sunny which is a very nice break from all the rain. We also made three friends this week which was amazing!

Something I learned this week is that hope is never lost. In my book of Mormon reading I've been reading in Alma in the war chapters and war time are some pretty discouraging times. They suffer things like lack of food, rebellion, death, and fatigue. In chapter 56 its talking about the army of Antipus. In verse 16 and 17 it says, "Yea, and they were depressed in body as well as in spirit, for they had fought valiantly by day and toiled by night to maintain their cities; and thus they had suffered great afflictions of every kind. And now they were determined to conquer in this place or die; therefore you may well suppose that this little force which I brought with me, yea, those sons of mine, gave them great hopes and much joy." The army of Antipus had been suffering much death and fatigue and then the 2000 stripling warriors joined them to help them out. That is the "little force" that it talks about in verse 17. Like in this story, there will be times of discouragement and fatigue in our lives, I've definitely had some of those on my mission, but I am always sent a "little force" to help me keep going. The Lord is always there and He will never abandon us or forsake us. He knows you and your circumstance. He will be right there with you fighting your battles and sending you all of the provisions you need to endure and eventually overcome your hardships. I invite each of you to look for the "little forces" and tender mercies the Lord sends you this week and I can promise you that you will be able to see that he is with you every step of the way on this journey.

Love you all!! Have a great week!
