Two months and One transfer down!!

Hello Everyone!

I hope your week was great! This week was very busy! Every minute of each day was planned! We had our half mission conference with President Pearson, the area president for the Northwest missions, so that was really awesome! I definitely learned a lot from him. I also tracted in the pouring rain for the first time so that was fun! We got soaked! We also found three new friends this week!! Which we are so happy about! We are going to meet with them all again this week.

Something I learned from the half mission conference was stated in a quote by Sister Pearson, she said, "pray like everything depends on the Lord, then get up and work like everything depends on you." I loved that quote! Prayer is so so important! As a missionary we pray a crazy amount haha; before each study session, before we leave our apartment, before each lesson, and more, but we truly each need the help of the Lord every hour and minute and second. However, we need to ask for that help and that is why prayer is so essential. "Therefore, ask, and ye shall receive; knock, and it shall be opened unto you; for he that asketh, receiveth; and unto him that knocketh, it shall be opened." Heavenly Father wants to bless us, but we need to pray and ask for that help to receive it. And then when you receive the answer to your question get up and work. Follow the prompting you recieve. I invite each of you this week to pray and ask Heavenly Father a questions that's been on your mind and ask with the intent of following whatever answer you receive and I promise that you'll receive an answer.

Love you all!

Missionary Work = Joy

Hello Everyone!

This week has been amazing! Lots of laughter and fun memories made and some amazing lessons with some amazing people! And lots of service! We did a total of 9 hours of service this week so that was fun! I've definitely grown and learned a lot since being out on my mission! And this week was no exception.

We had a lesson with a friend of ours. His family have all been baptized, but he hasn't decided if he wants to or not himself yet. He's been meeting with missionaries for a while now and so we met with him to try and figure out where he's at. It was an amazing lesson and I felt the spirit very strong. At the beginning of the lesson I had no idea what to say or how to help him, but I definitely wanted to because that's what I came out on my mission to do, to help those I meet come closer to Jesus Christ. And so I said a silent prayer to help me think of something I could say to help him, and it was then that an experience that I had in the past came to mind that was similar to the concern that he had. I was able to share my experience and hopefully help him by sharing it. I know that Heavenly Father answers our prayers. I know that He loves each and everyone of His children so much and wants each of us to return and live with Him someday. I know that when we have a desire to help and serve others, and we let Heavenly Father know of that desire, He will give us opportunities to serve and help His children. I encourage each of you, if you have the desire, to pray for service and missionary opportunities, and I promise that Heavenly Father will put people in your path who you can help.

Something else I learned this week is perfectly stated in a quote by Elder Richard G. Scott. He says, "We become what we want to be by consistently being what we want to become each day." We can learn and study something as much as we want, but it isn't until we act on what we learn and BE what we are learning that we can really become and begin to change and grow.

Love you all! Hope you all have an amazing week!

We can do and overcome all things with Christ's help

Merry Christmas Everyone!!

This week has been great! As of November 1st Sister Snowder and I put up a really small but cute Christmas tree, decorated our apartment, and we added Christmas music to our playlist! It is officially the Christmas season now that Halloween is over! Haha
We did some service this week, taught some lessons, and met lots of amazing people!

Something I learned this week is that we truly can do and overcome all things with Christ's help. Think of the story of Peter walking on water. Peter probably never thought that in his life he would ever walk on water. He probably thought it was completely impossible! However, with Christ's help he did it. He walked on water. Like Peter, we too can do things that we may think are completely impossible with Christ's help!

Love you all!
